'I wanted to tell you in detail how wonderful the entire week was. Firstly, you have a GREAT team working with you. Bruno is not just a wonderful man ... he's a great walking guide, making sure that every one enjoyed the experience to the fullest. We all came away feeling that not only did we have a great physical experience, but also a great educational experience. His knowledge of the plants, insects, animals, geography, history is very impressive. He has such a gentle manner, all the while ensuring that we had the tools to deal with an emergency situation, if ever we needed to rely on them ... thankfully we didn't.

The group jelled well together ... I would say that it was very compatible, and lots of fun!

So that brings me to our hosts ... Simon, Ashley and Sophia ... they are such a warm and welcoming family and they opened their home to us with an outstretched hand. The time that they spend in preparation of the evening meal and the afternoon cakes makes me wonder how they have time for anything else.

Being in a food service business, I know just how much effort goes in to preparing delicious, nutritious meals ... Simon and Ashley make it look effortless, and believe me ... I know that it's not! Their home is warm and beautiful and their gorgeous daughter, Sophia, put a smile on everyone’s face, all of the time.

Can Llouquette and the Pyrenees was amazing ... active, but calm and beautiful! Please keep me informed of your upcoming adventures ... until the next time, thank you.'

'I can't thank you and the team enough for providing the best holiday ever for Sandra and myself. From the moment we arrived, when we were met by Zouky [the donkey], to the moment we left it was all superb.

Bruno, Simon, Ashley and Sophia were very welcoming and great fun.

Thanks again and we will definitely be booking another OutBreak adventure holiday in the future.'

'I book these trekking holidays to be led on to magnificent mountains in decent weather on routes I wouldn't find myself and wouldn't have the confidence to tackle. The Massif Canigou was superb and so was Bruno's leadership. As was his patience and humour.

Likewise I was greatly impressed by the standard of accommodation at Can Llouquette and by Simon and Ashley's hospitality (and by industrial quantities of lovely high-carb food). Because your prices are lower than those of the larger competitor I know (Exodus) I expected to be roughing it a bit. Rather the opposite.

Thanks for a cracking holiday.'

'You have got a gem of a place here. To be honest I think Can Llouquette turned what would have been a good walking holiday into an outstanding one.

Simon and Ashley were so amazing and they really bent over backwards to make sure everyone was happy. Staying at Can Llouquette gave you the feeling that you were part of a family instead of just a travel group.'

'The Pyrenees were very scenic and Bruno and the hosts were very proactive in ensuring an enjoyable week (e.g. safe hikes, much good food and red wine).

All being well and with the acceptance of my wife and dog Lizzy, I hope to see you again in the Alps, early September 2010.'

'Beautiful, peaceful setting, delicious plentiful food (I especially liked the arrangements whereby we made our own picnic lunch). The swimming pool was lovely - and a pleasant surprise to find we could use it in mid October!

Bruno is a great guide - very patient and enthusiastic, and Simon and Ashley were delightful hosts.'

'Hi, just a note to say how much we enjoyed our OutBreak trip to the Pyrenees. it was everything we hoped for. Beautiful location, lovely accommodation, great food, pleasant relaxed atmosphere and varied and interesting hikes. Simon, Ashley and Sophia are great hosts.

Bruno is a really super guide - good company, funny, accommodating and eager to ensure everybody is enjoying themselves. He shared his vast knowledge and appreciation of nature and chose hikes that suited everybody’s ability and interest. Would definitely be interested in doing more OutBreak holidays.

Very nice personal touch: surprised us with delicious birthday cake and bottle of bubbly for Eddie's birthday!'

'I was the 1st who arrived and was welcomed very warmly and immediately felt homely ... Ashley and Simon are such fantastic cooks; to find a favourite in the variety of courses was impossible.

Can Llouquette and surroundings are a dream! It is ultimate bliss and the place to spend one's holiday! Magnificent!'

'Just wanted to thank everyone involved for making our holiday last week so enjoyable. I can't begin to put into words how beautiful the Pyrenees are - good job we took so many photos! I wish I was still there ...'

'The accommodation was great and Simon and Ashley were so welcoming and flexible with meal times, rest day etc., ... we will be recommending your holidays to our friends. We are also hoping to come on another trip with your company next year - perhaps Morocco. All the best.'
Tracey & Ian Parker + Ali Mackenzie {Week 03/10/09}

'It was a lovely place and we were made to feel really welcome. The food was lovely and we all thought of the home made cake and coffee waiting for us when we got back off the mountains.'
Sharon Blount {Week 03/10/09}

'Just a word of warmest appreciation on the superb OutBreak Experience. Lived up to expectations and beyond. We were made so welcome. Wonderful walks, company and food!'
Ian, 2008

'We found the holiday absolutely fantastic in every detail. Gustav was a star, interesting, challenging, human, funny, well-informed and extremely reliable. We felt we could trust him fully. Simon and Ashley were the best hosts anyone could wish for and the food they produced was absolutely sublime. Zouky the donkey was a treasure and kept us all entertained. However, he does need a girl donkey very soon, we felt!

The only thing I would change: make sure that you describe in your website more about the fantastic accommodation - the house, fire, cosy kitchen, lovely rooms, welcoming atmosphere, wonderful music, art work... as well as the fact that the catering is five star!

We are recommending OutBreak to all our friends and will use you again for sure!'
Hannah, 2008

'It has to be said, Ashley's Lemon Cake is worth crossing national frontiers for!'
Paul, 2008

'We had a fantastic holiday... We are still unable to come up with a single complaint! We even got to like the DONKEY in the end. Well done ... I feel sure that you will have many more walkers from Cork in the future.'
Pat & Catherine, 2008

'The stay in Can Llouquette was one of the best holidays I have had in a long time. From the time we left Cork Airport to the time we were deposited back there, I had a ball.

Our guide, Gustav, proved to be an excellent leader, motivator, driver, waiter, dish-washer, sommelier, story teller, singer and bakers boy. His knowledge of the flora and fauna was to "Attenborough" standard, and his dictation of the pace of the walks ensured that both the fit and not so fit enjoyed the treks in equal measure. His choice of walks was varied enough to give us the opportunity to experience the different landscapes and climates of the Pyrenees. As a would-be mountain leader I was particularly impressed by his constant attention to the safety of the group.

What can I say about our 'base camp'. The setting, the comfort, the food, the 'craic', even the donkey, all helped to create a haven for us after the long days exertions on the mountains. Our wonderful hosts, Ashley & Simon are beyond compare, and I will always treasure the welcome and the hospitality we received from them.

Given the opportunity, I will certainly come again.'
Bob, 2008

'You guys excelled yourselves this time to make one of the best holidays I've been on.'
Ian, 2007

'Thanks for a wonderful week. I had such a great time and enjoyed having my evening meal cooked for me!'
Cheryl, 2007

'I'm missing the mountains, my companions and the peace and quiet of the Pyrenees.'
Pete, 2007

'The best holidays are little voyages of self discovery where, by leaving behind the dull shores of reality, one can see what lies just over the horizon and return with gifts never found in any departure lounge shopping mall.

My holiday with you was one such and I thank you for it. I have yet to encounter an organisation whose devotion to this ideal was more sincere.'
