We are on the Spanish-French border in the foothills of the Pyrenees, only 1hr from fishing villages and beaches.

Can Llouquette is an 18th Century fruit-farm. It consists of three independent buildings with several smaller outbuildings.

We are on the flanks of Mount Canigou a stone's throw from the Spanish border, yet only 30 miles from the Mediterranean.

It is a great place to leave the hustle and bustle behind to enjoy a quiet child-friendly family holiday or a romantic getaway.

The accommodation
Can Llouquette (pronounced ‘can yo ket’) is a traditional Catalan Mas (farmhouse), renovated to a high standard, with swimming pool.

We offer fully equipped, self-catering accommodation set in 11 acres of forest and garden. Relax by the pool, stroll around the garden, by the stream, in complete peace and tranquility surrounded by nature.

The property includes two self-catering gîtes (for four people + baby/children) and two self-catering apartments (for two people + small child). They are self-contained units with their own outside space.

All are separate and very private.

Things to do and see
Can Llouquette is a haven for those looking for a peaceful, quiet holiday, but you will also find culture, fine cuisine and wine, mountain walks, water sports and beaches, as well as sightseeing right on your doorstep.

Just two minutes from Montferrer, our nearest village or a short drive to farmers’ markets, supermarkets and spa towns, you can base yourself here and easily explore the area. An area straddling the French and Spanish border, an area of blue mediterranean waters and lush wild mountains.

We are only 30 miles from the coast and for the more active traveller there are many watersport activities on the coast, as well as golf, hiking and mountain biking in and around our valley, or skiing over the border in Spain.

Getting here
Can Llouquette is served by no less than seven airports: Girona, Barcelona, Perpigan, Carcassone, Béziers, Toulouse and Montpellier.

Guided walking holidays
As well as offering self-catered accommodation throughout the year, Can Llouquette is the base for organised walking holidays. These are fully catered and guided holidays during May and October each year.

Your hosts
Simon Williams and Ashley Barrington are your hosts at Can Llouquette. We remain discrete but available to help you make the best out of your holiday with us, whether it is tips or advice about the area, help with anything on the property, trips and days out.

We also have resident donkeys and cats (a bit skittish!): with new arrivals (chickens and sheep Sophia hopes!) on the way.
